Naomi Njemo Adiaka: The Young Lady Using Strategic Communication as a Catalyst for Social Change

Naomi Njemo Adiaka is a value-driven and forward-thinking leader passionate about using strategic communication as a catalyst for social change. As a communications professional and education advocate, she has leveraged storytelling and advocacy to spotlight inequities in Cameroon’s education system and drive youth-centred solutions.

Her leadership journey led her to found YouthKonnect, an EdTech initiative empowering young people with the skills, knowledge, and values needed to thrive in the 21st-century marketplace. Together with her team, she has designed and implemented impactful programs reaching over 1,000 youth across Cameroon and beyond, advancing the SDGs and inspiring young leaders to serve their communities.

Recognized for her work, she has been honoured as an Obama Leader (2023), YALI RLC Fellow (2024), CELBMD Fellow, I-Train Africa Fellow, HAG Awards nominee for Best SDG4 Advocate, TEF 2025 grant awardee, and is part of the 2026–2027 cohort of UNESCO SDG4 Youth & Student Network.

With a strong track record of impact, her vision is to scale this reach to 3,000 youth by 2026 while pursuing a Master’s in Strategic Communications to deepen her expertise and further align her leadership with global standards. She remains committed to shaping a future where education is inclusive, sustainable, and transformative for all.
