Ajung Fondom has created an Indigenous Commission for Future Generations and Sustainability. Ajung Fondom (Kingdom) is found in Fundong Subdivision, Boyo Division, Northwest Region, Cameroon.
The Ajung Commission for Future Generations and Sustainability has been created in connection with the two-day workshop held in Yaoundé and attended by His Majesty Fon Peter Chuo Ketu in September 2024 with a focus on the Congo Basin, royal animals, foresight and futures thinking, future generations and global sustainability.
Accordingly, Ajung Fondom in it’s entirety has committed themselves, this commission, to partner with initiatives on future generations and global sustainability in preparedness to combat future challenges which might be detrimental at both local and global scales.
This commission is established under the patronage of His Majesty Fon Peter Chuo Ketu, the traditional ruler and king of the people of Ajung Fondom. The Fon (King) is the number one person in the Ajung dynasty championing sustainability development since his coronation as a traditional ruler in 2020.
The vision of the Ajung Commission for Future Generations and Sustainability is to harness the community to engage in good local governance, climate change action, biodiversity and cultural heritage preservation, and the wellbeing of the indigenous people of Ajung — both present and future generations.
The membership of the commission represents sectors like the traditional council and the development association known as Ajung Development Union (ADU).

The initials membership of this commission for future generation and global sustainability is as follows:
His Majesty Fon Peter Chuo Ketu (Patron)
